Anna and I had a really busy week in Midland! One afternoon Mutti and my mom had a "sip and see" party at Mutti's house for Anna so they could show her off to their friends. Both ladies spent a lot of time decorating and baking and we had a wonderful turnout at Anna's party. She slept almost the entire time...I guess she likes to do that at her parties! She was showered with more gifts that it felt like another baby shower. She got the most adorable clothes, rattles, pacifiers, toys, blankets, etc. and she especially loved her bear play mat that she is sleeping on in the picture below. It is so comfy that I've even taken a nap on the bear's head a time or two. We actually used this bear as her bedding in the bottom of her pack and play and she slept wonderfully.
I didn't take any pictures at Anna's party but I believe my mom did but I don't have her pictures yet. Here is a picture of Anna at my mom's house after the party. She had a few outfit changes that day...I think this was #3.
and this next picture is outfit #4 for the day...
One afternoon Anna and I went to visit my aunt Janet and cousins K.K. and Kathryn. We spent a great afternoon at their house and Anna was a doll the entire time.
K.K., Kathryn, Anna and of course, Bella!
Look how dirty Anna's fingernails were...I'm not sure how they get so dirty! Anna's hand looks so tiny compared to K.K.'s thumb.
Kathryn was just as excited to hold Anna as she is to start her senior year of high school. :)
One of my very dear friends, Amanda, whom I've known since 7th grade has the most darling toddler, Jack. He is about to be a big brother to little Luke and Amanda is even getting induced tomorrow. I pray all goes well for her and I can't wait to meet her new bundle of joy! We went over to their house one afternoon to visit and catch-up.

One of my mom's longtime friends, Annie, happened to be in Robert E. Lee (yes, this is a town in Texas!) so we decided to head to Sterling City to meet up with her and her darling granddaughters. Sterling City is about an hour from Midland and 45 minutes from Robert E. Lee so it was a great meeting point. We met at one of the only restaurants in town which just happened to be a Mexican restaurant. A few hours later, lots of laughs and some good nachos, we packed Anna up and headed back to Midland. My mom used to be in a sewing/smocking group with Annie when Harriet and I were little and we grew up with her kids, David and Kristen. Kristen and I have the same birthday and David and my mom have the same birthday. Kind of crazy! Annie has since moved out to Atlanta and while my mom and I were there a few years ago, we were able to visit her in her new home.
My mom and Annie - lifelong friends!
