New Braunfels playdate

The reason for our road trip adventure was to be in New Braunfels to celebrate my darling little niece's first birthday. She has grown so much and is walking now. She still resorts to crawling to get anywhere fast and wow can she cover ground quickly! We all met up Saturday morning for breakfasts at Shoebel's. They have the best Texas breakfast buffet I have been to in years and for only $7.95 per person, it is an outstanding bargain. If you're ever in New Braunfels, I highly recommend this place!

John and Dusty participated in a charity pub crawl Saturday afternoon so we (Mom, Jim, Mutti and I) got to babysit little Tilly for the afternoon. I thought taking care of a newborn was a lot of work but with an one year old who rarely likes to sit still, it is quite different! I think she wore all the parents out. Tilly absolutely loves Grandpa Jim and had the best time with him. He is quite smitten as well. :)

Grandpa Jim and GiGi holding their little granddaughters! They are so proud and happy.

Keith arrived into town Saturday afternoon and we were sooooooooo excited to see him because it was nearly a week that I "kidnapped" his daughter! He really missed Anna's sweet face and I'm sure he missed me a little bit, too.

Anna is getting ready for bed after a long, fun day at the lake house in New Braunfels.
