Week Two

We have taken so many pictures of our precious little one so I won't bore you with text, but just show a lot of photos of Anna. I hope no one minds!! These are all from the second week she was at home.

My cousin, Candice, came over on July 6 to take pictures of Anna. She had a rough morning and was either fussy or hungry or needed a diaper change so while the photo shoot didn't last very long, we did manage to get a couple good pictures. Candice said she would come back when Anna was a bit older and try again to get some better shots. The two shots above are from Candice. 

 As evident by many of the pictures above, Anna absolutely loves to sleep with her hands above her head as if saying "touchdown"! Keith thinks she is just getting ready for football season to start. We really only swaddled her for the first week of her life but after that, she squirmed out of the tight blanket each time to make sure her hands were free. After she kept repeating this, we figured out that she wasn't a huge fan of sleeping in a cocoon so we only drape a blanket over her at night and during naps. She is a great sleeper thus far and we are quite thankful. By two weeks of age, she was letting me sleep 4 hours at a time during the night which was wonderful. The first time I slept through a late night feeding alarm, I had a small panic attack since Anna had not eaten in 5 hours. The pediatrician said that since she was gaining weight well, that it was ok for me to let her sleep for 4-5 hours at a time during the night. Whew, that was a huge sigh of relief!!
