Tummy time has paid off!

Finally, after what I thought was forever, our little Anna rolled over for the first time on November 9, 2011. It was a really special moment because Keith was home from work and we were laying on the floor playing with Anna when all of a sudden she looked at us, put both of her hands in front of her and just leaned one way and viola, she rolled herself over onto her back. It was almost as if she had waited all day and when dad was home for the night, she wanted to show off!

Anna was never a fan of "tummy time" but the pediatrician recommended we put her on her tummy for at least 5 times a day for 5 minutes at a time. It was torture for me most of the time just to hear how frustrated and mad she was. But when she finally learned how to get out of her tummy time, there was no stopping her...she was a rolling fool!

Here she is on the second day of learning how to roll over. We are SO proud!

Love my little angel!

As soon as she figured out how to roll over, she loved loved loved being on her tummy because of course it was on her terms now. She became quite the rolly-polly in a matter of days. One day we were playing in her nursery and I left for 30 seconds to grab my phone out of the bedroom and when I came back, I couldn't find Anna anywhere. Panic started to set in and I looked down the hall and in the other bedroom before checking once more in her room. That little stinker had rolled herself underneath her crib and I caught a quick glimpse of a hand poking out from behind her crib skirt after a few more seconds of her "missing". I seriously almost had a mini heart attack. I kept thinking that she couldn't crawl or walk yet so where in the world could she be?!?!
