I have never been to the Arboretum during the fall before so we jumped at the chance to join Hal and Janet on a Thursday evening for a concert by the lake. There are thousands and thousands of pumpkins scattered throughout the entire garden grounds and it is simply stunning. Julie gave Anna the cutest smocked autumn dress that we had to have her wear for all the photo opportunities. We arrived around 6 pm and stayed for a few hours, listening to a country band, enjoying some yummy food and of course my favorite, Tradition wine. Thank you Julie and KW!
Keith just changed his Facebook profile picture to this cute picture of he and Anna.
Hal and Janet are frequent visitors on Thursday nights during the summer and early fall for the music and the atmosphere. They even have the best chairs that double as backpacks and a picnic table that folds up into a tiny bag. They know how to do it right!
Anna was so tired that she fell asleep on Grandma's shoulder. So sweet.
When Anna is older, I think she will enjoy the Arboretum even more. There were dozens of kids running up and down the hill by the lake and many of them were having such a blast rolling down the hill over and over again. It was a really fun family atmosphere so we may have to look into getting season tickets for next year. Thank you for the invitation...we had such a great time.
