Yummy Rice Cereal

When Anna was just 5 months old, our pediatrician recommended that we start her on rice cereal. She was not a fan of it at first but gradually over time began to like it. The facial expressions she would make were hysterical and would keep Keith and me laughing at every feeding. Our baby is growing up too fast!

and those big blue eyes just melt my heart...

Babysitting

We are so lucky to have family offer to babysit our precious Anna whenever Keith and I need to go somewhere. Weddings, dinner, parties, date nights, etc. - we always have someone more than willing to play with Anna. It is such a blessing!

Keith was in a wedding in El Paso last October and my mom graciously flew to town to watch Anna for the weekend. Thank you GiGi!

I didn't take any pictures of our fun-filled weekend in October, but the bride posted this photo on Facebook. The bride is Lauren Black and the groom is Jason Wight. Everyone got a kick out of the last names and and the theme of the wedding was "black is the new wight". Oh so clever!

Two Little Feet

Guess who found her feet at 4 months old? The day Anna discovered that she could grab onto her toes, her whole world changed. She never wanted to let go. The little milestones she reaches each day or week or month mean so much to me.

One of my grandmother's friends gave Anna a "My First Prayers" book at her sip and see in Midland last August and a favorite of our is:

Two little eyes to look at God. Two little ears to hear His word. Two little lips to sing His praise. Two little feet to walk His ways. Two little hands to do His will. One little heart to love Him still. Amen.

As I was writing this post today, this prayer came to mind!

Let's Go Rangers!

For the second year in a row, the Texas Rangers made it to the World Series and on that same note, for the SECOND year in a row, they managed to lose...again! We really should have won the series, but I still had a fun time dressing Anna up for the part. She watched every single game with us and hopefully she'll enjoy watching and playing sports as much as her parents do. (If not, Keith is going to have a rough time...)
Hanging out at Amigo's, one of our favorite hole in the wall Mexican food restaurants. We just picked up food to go but had a few minutes to enjoy some chips/salsa and a margarita.

Jessica gave me the greatest idea to embellish a regular blue onesie for the baseball games. She made an adorable one for her little one and I wanted to copy her! The onesie was $4 at Hobby Lobby and the baseball + letter "t" only tacked on $1.50 more. Not bad for a few bucks and Anna looked so cute. I even put on tall white socks as she and her mom are huge fans of Ian Kinsler.

Anna loved her swing and at this age, just started to be able to watch the lambs circling over her head and also recognize herself in the mirror just above her head on the swing. It is sad to think that just yesterday I had Keith put her swing in the attic because she outgrew it months ago.

Grandpa even came over one night for a little baseball watching.

Trick or Treat?

I've been getting a few comments that I've been m.i.a. with my blog so I'm going to work on getting back into the swing of things. Yes, I know it is almost April but I wanted to pick up from where I left off with everything Anna.

We didn't get Anna a Halloween costume this year since she couldn't go trick or treating so we just dressed her up in some darling outfits from Grandma/Grandpa & Gigi/Grandpa Jim. The coming Halloween she'll actually be able to walk around and we'll have to work on getting her to say "trick or treat".

We did stop by Grandma and Grandpa's house to help pass out candy to the neighborhood kids. Not sure why we didn't get any pictures of Keith and me with Anna!

I still don't know how to make videos turn around the right way, so you can tilt your head or your computer!

Please bear with me over the next couple weeks as I get all caught up to present day photos of Anna. I promise, they are worth the wait. She just keeps getting cuter with each passing day. But I must say since I'm her mom, I may be a tad biased! And for those of you who keep up with Janet, my mother-in-law's blog, she has been much better at keeping up to date photos of Anna.
